Growing up on the foothills of the Rocky Mountains taught me a respect for our natural world. As my appreciation for the environment developed, so did my understanding of utilizing what nature can yield in a responsible manner.

The interests of my youth lead me to pursue geology. After completing a degree from Montana State University, I started my career on an environmental remediation project. After completion of the project, my career moved in a new direction with an opportunity in mineral exploration. Those experiences lead me to working on a mineral resource development program in Australia.

After completing the project in 2008, I relocated back to Montana. At that time the mining industry was in decline due to the recession. However, the energy industry was booming. I was offered a position as a wellsite geologist, and this began my path into the energy business.

Not long after beginning in the energy industry, an unexpected opportunity was presented. I was asked to join an economic task force within the U.S. Department of Defense supporting the government of Afghanistan. The primary focus was to develop Afghanistan’s energy market. During that tenure I acquired a strong business acumen within the energy industry. This led to the pursuit of an MBA from the School of Business Administration at the University of Montana.

Drawing from my experiences in resource and business development, it is important to me business is conducted sustainably and reasonably for both our environment and end user.
